"2016 NCAA national champion Michael Baggetta is entering his first season as the assistant men's lacrosse coach at Bridgewater College."

Baggetta had been an assistant coach with Salisbury University for the previous four seasons, culminating in a victory in the 2016 NCAA Division III national championship game. Baggetta worked primarily with the offense and face-off midfielders, and was the Scout Team Coordinator. Salisbury compiled an overall record of 78-14 in his time there, including Capital Athletic Conference championships in 2014 and 2015, and another national title game appearance in 2014. Baggetta helped implement practice plans, broke down opponent film, assisted in designing and implementing game plans, recruiting, managed all team social media, and coordinated prospect days for a Seagull team that featured 32 All-Americans, one National Player of the Year and five National Positional Players of the Year over those four seasons. Baggetta played lacrosse and football for ODAC rival Hampden-Sydney College, after transferring from UMass where he was a faceoff specialist on the Minutemen's Division I team. In 2009, Baggetta was the head coach for the University of South Carolina's MCLA club lacrosse team. The Gamecocks went 8-4 that season and had three first team All-Conference selections. Baggetta has also coached at Herndon High School in Herndon, Virginia, and was a running backs and strength coach for the football team at Herndon High and for the National American Football League's Carolina Express.
