Recruit Profile
Smart player, hardworking & plays hard, driven, aggressive & physical, very coachable, disciplined, high lax IQ, multi-sport student-athlete that plays a team game.
I started playing youth lacrosse when I was 9 years old. I was totally intrigued by the game. Prior Lake’s youth lacrosse program was just starting up at that time. I played high school JV lacrosse in ninth grade earning time with the varsity team to letter as a freshman. Learning from my coaches and teammates, my sophomore year, I became a starter for the team and went on to play in the state tournament. As a junior this year, our regular season varsity team went 11-2 and won the section 6 championship for the 3rd straight year advancing to the state tournament again. I was selected to play Team Minnesota (MN) club lacrosse in 2015 as a defensemen. Over the past 3 years, Team MN has given me the opportunity to play lacrosse for top-rated coaches and with some of the most talented and skilled players in the state. Traveling throughout the U.S. with Team MN has not only provided me with rewarding memories but also the experience of playing at an elite level with some of the best players and teams in the country. I excel at being a two-way player and being a physical defensemen who causes turnovers. I am a skilled ball handler who tends to pick off a lot of passes. I am also able to play LSM. In addition, I have a strong work ethic on and off the field. I use my lacrosse IQ and ability to defend in multiple defensive strategies to be very adaptive on the field. I am a very hardworking, aggressive two-sport athlete player who can play on both sides of the ball and likes to play physical and fast. Hard work and coachability are my two most important traits. I play with a "team first" mentality. I'm very determined to learn and improve each and every day. I love the game and understand the details. In my junior year, I earned the Minnesota High School Boys Lacrosse Coaches Association ‘All State 3rd Team’ award this year. Along with lacrosse I play varsity ice hockey for my high school. Outside of lacrosse, I love to play hockey, work out in the weight room, fish, and play pick-up basketball with my buddies. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering with youth sports. As a rising Junior, I am excited to continue improving my lacrosse skills and continue to find success.
