Kathryn Mapes

Kathryn Mapes is in her first season as the head women's lacrosse coach at Thomas More.

Mapes came to Thomas More after a four-year stint as a goalie at Mount St. Joseph University. In her four years with the Lions, Mapes has recorded 2122:16 minutes in goal, starting in 38 out of her 41 games played. She recorded 273 saves, posted a 14-19 four-year record, and ended her playing career with a 42.4-win percentage. She was the Team Captain for two years for the Lions.

Mapes obtained her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mount St. Joseph, recording a 3.36 GPA. She was awarded the Charlotte Schmidlapp Scholarship for Women in Science, the Mount St. Joseph University Private Education Award, and the Mount St. Joseph University Trustee Scholarship. Mapes acted as a Student Volunteer Coordinator for the Walk Ahead for a Brain Tumor Cure 5K for seven years. She also has been a volunteer for the Chris Collinsworth ProScan Pink Ribbon Fund since 2008.
