One of the most decorated players in women’s lacrosse in recent years joined Acacia Walker’s staff as an assistant coach in the summer of 2017.

Kayla Treanor, a member of the U.S. National Team and four-time first-team All-American, joined the Eagles’ coaching staff after spending one season as an assistant coach following her graduation from Syracuse..

Treanor capped a remarkable career at Syracuse in 2016, earning four first-team All-America nods, three IWLCA Attacker of the Year honors and was a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award three times.

She was a three-time ACC Offensive Player of the Year, a four-time first-team all-conference performer (one BIG EAST, three ACC) and also thrived in the postseason, earning conference all-tournament team honors all four seasons and three NCAA All-Tournament Team efforts.

She finished her career ranked fourth on the NCAA D1 career scoring list (393 points) and sixth in career goals (260). Treanor also set the NCAA D1 single-season draw controls record with 217 in 2016.

Treanor has been a member of the U.S. National Team since 2013, and helped the 2011 U.S. Under-19 Team win the gold medal at the FIL U19 World Championships.
