Kelsey Yenco

Kelsey Yenco begins her first season with the Simmons Lacrosse staff for the 2020 season.

Yenco is a seasoned coach, having spent a season as the Assistant Coach for Glen Rock High School in New Jersey in addition to serving as a coach for the Tri-State Lacrosse Club for nearly four years. The former attacker has worked hard to teach skills on both sides of the field, holding down Head Coach duties at The Gladiator School, where she focused on coaching goaltenders.

A four-year standout at Division I Lehigh University, Yenco played in 64 of 65 games for the Mountain Hawks and was a steady, all-around player, racking up 31 points on 20 goals and 11 assists to go with 53 draw controls. She proved her mettle on the defensive side of the field as well, picking up 55 ground balls to go with 30 caused turnovers. In addition to her playing career in Bethlehem, Pa., Yenco played for Italia Lacrosse as a Women's National Team Member in Italy, where she helped share her passion for the sport. Yenco helped to coach other players in Italy and coached in clinics in the Czech Republic and Austria.

The New Jersey native has gotten to know the value of training off the field as well, serving as an Intern for Lehigh Sports and Conditioning, where she gained first-hand experience in strength and conditioning.

Yenco was an asset in the classroom for Lehigh as well, earning a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in each of her final two seasons. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Health, Medicine and Society.
