Tony Garufi returns for his seventh year with the Union College women's lacrosse program in 2020.

During the past five years, the women's lacrosse team compiled a 31-15 conference record while making it to the Liberty League Tournament in three of those five seasons.

In 2015, Garufi and head coach Abi Jackson were recognized as the Liberty League Coaching Staff of the Year when the team went undefeated in conference play, won the conference tournament and secured a bid to the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to Union College, Garufi has also completed five seasons as a head coach with the Albany Elite Girls Lacrosse Club, where he coaches the rising seniors. A majority of these players have been recruited and gone on to play at the college level, including 13 high school All Americans.

A native of Albany, N.Y., Garufi is a graduate of Dartmouth College, where he played football and lacrosse.
